The files in this folder form a last-minute resubmission to The Stata Journal (SJ) of the paper "Multiple test procedures and smile plots". The files (apart from this one) are as follows: smileplot.tex The TeX version of the insert main.tex A SJ LaTeX driver for the insert main.pdf The Adobe Acrobat .pdf version of the insert ofishgp_m_1.gph The .gph version of Figure 1 ofishgp_c_1.gph The .gph version of Figure 2 subset2u.gph The .gph version of Figure 3 subset2a.gph The .gph version of Figure 4 smplot1.gph The .gph version of Figure 5 ofishgp_m_1.eps The .eps version of Figure 1 ofishgp_c_1.eps The .eps version of Figure 2 subset2u.eps The .eps version of Figure 3 subset2a.eps The .eps version of Figure 4 smplot1.eps The .eps version of Figure 5 figures.do The Stata do-file that created the .eps figures figures.log The log file created by typing -dolog figures- smileplot.zip The current version of the -smileplot- package smileplot.do A Stata certification script for the -smileplot- package smileplot.log The log file created by typing -dolog smileplot- All Stata do-files included are intended to be executed using the -dolog- package, downloadable from SSC. This resubmission was written in response to a suggestion from Nick Cox at the 9th UK Stata User Meeting, because the graphics of -smileplot- are now Stata 8. The new version of the paper has totally new versions of the 5 Figures and 2 Stata logs, and a totally revised version of Section 2 (the syntax of -multproc- and -smileplot-). There are only 2 other alterations. First, in the Abstract, the first sentence has been altered from: "The -smileplot package is downloadable from SSC, and contains two programs, -multproc- and -smileplot-." to: "The -smileplot package is downloadable from SSC, and contains the programs -multproc- and -smileplot-." This reflects the fact that the -smileplot- package now includes a third program, the quick-and-dirty Stata 7 graphics version -smileplot7- . Second, in the Acknowledgements, the final sentence has been slightly modified in response to the unfortunate and untimely death from cancer of one of the collaborators acknowledged.
